What is the MAT Exam?
Many business schools and management colleges utilise MAT results to determine who gets admitted to MBA, PGDM, and other management programs. The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the MAT (Management Aptitude Test), a standardised exam, to applicants for admission to different management institutions in India. This is one of the national entrance tests that many management and business institutions around the nation accept. AIMA has also issued the MAT 2025 May session exam dates. The MAT 2025 examination is scheduled in 3 different modes, namely CBT, PBT, and IBT. The dates of PBT and CBT are set for 4th Week of February 2025, and 2nd Week of March, 2025 , respectively. Exam dates for IBT Last week of February to 1st Week of March 2025. The updated MAT 2025 exam design calls for 150 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 120 minutes.

Evolution of MAT Exam
The MAT exam was introduced by AIMA (All India Management Association) in 1988. Initially, it was only a paper-based examination then it became a computer-based exam with growing technology in 2009. With more digitalisation online registration was introduced. MAT was initially conducted 3 times a year but it is now conducted 4 times a year. The detailed evolution of MAT is presented below.
