Financial Planners offer expert opinions on issues like retirement planning, estate planning, financial management of small businesses, trusts, tax, stock broking and investments and debt and risk management. The major employers of Finance planners are Banks, Brokerage Firms, Wealth Management companies, Fund Houses. Students can also start on their own or work as consultants or insurance advisors for firms. With India emerging as a major global destination for manufacturing, retailing and allied services, Supply Chain Management (SCM) gains importance. Companies need to become operationally efficient through accurate demand forecasting, streamlined order management and production planning, global sourcing, tight inventory control, and on-time delivery to the customer. The industry hence needs a new breed of specialized SCM professionals who understand the various intra and inter-linkages in the organization’s supply chain and adapt to the changing market needs.
The government is setting up 110 logistics parks over 3500 acres by 2012. The Industry is expected to grow annually by 15% in revenue terms over next 5 years. According to CII-Technopak survey, 30 lacs operartions professionals are required by 2012.
